Kapil Sharma is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in financial services and digital transformation. Currently serving as the Chief AI and Digital Officer at Sinar Mas Multiartha since February 2024, Kapil is driving AI-based initiatives and developing centralized credit scoring engines. Previously, as Senior Director of Engineering at Coupang, Kapil enhanced customer and merchant ecosystems, achieving improved user engagement. As Chief Technology Officer at Sinar Mas, Kapil executed a comprehensive financial services ecosystem and digitized the Simobi+ mobile banking app. Prior roles include Head of Engineering at OVO, where Kapil built a robust payments and digital marketplace infrastructure, and Associate Vice President at Paytm, where innovative products like Paytm Movies and Paytm Hotels were developed for a vast user base. Kapil's technical expertise is complemented by a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
