Charles J. Jago

Dr. Jago is a long-serving community member of northern BC, providing leadership and valued guidance on the boards of several local institutions. Dr. Jago is a former President of the University of Northern British Columbia and has served on the boards of Canfor Pulp Ltd. Partnership, Initiatives Prince George, The Fraser Basin Council, The Canada West Foundation, and Partnerships BC. Dr. Jago was awarded the Order of Canada in 2005 and the Order of British Columbia in 2013 in recognition of his distinguished service to Canada and BC. He completed his doctoral studies at Cambridge University and held academic appointments in three Canadian universities for over 40 years.
