Dr. Lisa Wan has been an educator for over 20 years. She joined the Singapore American School community in 2001. Wan is a self-proclaimed life long learner and enjoys working with learners across all age groups. She began her career as a third grade teacher in Vancouver, British Columbia before moving to Singapore. Wan began her SAS career as a pre-kindergarten teacher before moving into teaching kindergarten. Prior to her role as deputy principal, she served as the curriculum, assessment, and data specialist for elementary school.
Wan holds a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of education from the University of British Columbia (UBC), a master of education from the University of Toronto, and a doctorate of education from the University of Southern California.
She lives in Singapore with her husband and two wonderful boys. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, and practicing calli
