Esther Teo

Esther Teo currently serves as Assistant Vice President and Head of Digital Industry Singapore at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) since November 2016. Prior to this role, Esther worked as a China Correspondent for The Straits Times from September 2009 to June 2016, covering significant news events and various aspects of Chinese politics, diplomacy, and economics while based in Beijing. Esther also held the position of Business Correspondent at The Straits Times, focusing on the property sector and its economic implications. Additionally, Esther gained experience as a Congressional Intern with the United States House of Representatives in 2007. Educationally, Esther holds an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford and a BA in Political Science and Communication Studies from the University of Michigan.
