Emmanuel Duncan Chua

Emmanuel Duncan Chua is a prominent Asia-focused senior dispute resolution lawyer currently serving as Partner and Principal at Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow since December 2020. With extensive experience in complex, cross-border disputes, Emmanuel has been recognized as one of Asia's Super 50 Disputes Lawyers and named a top "40 under 40" rising star in international restructuring and insolvency by the Global Restructuring Review. Concurrently, Emmanuel serves as an arbitrator for the Asian International Arbitration Centre and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. Previously, Emmanuel was Senior Counsel and Co-Lead for Disputes and Investigations at Chevron, overseeing litigation and arbitration across Asia and EMEA. As a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills, Emmanuel contributed to multi-jurisdictional disputes, particularly in the financial, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors.
