Irshath Mohamed

Irshath Mohamed serves as the News Editor for Tamil Murasu, Singapore's only Tamil language daily newspaper, a position held since January 2022. Previously, Irshath held the roles of Deputy News Editor and Journalist at Singapore Press Holdings for Tamil Murasu and Tabla! from July 2017 to December 2021, where significant achievements included proposing award-nominated feature stories, spearheading the digital platform ‘Kopi Talk,’ and collaborating on advertorials. Prior to this, Irshath worked as a Development and Executive Associate at Jubilee USA Network, contributing to major grant proposals and engaging community organizations. Earlier experience includes service as a Fire and Rescue Specialist with the Singapore Civil Defence Force from 2008 to 2010. Irshath holds a Master of Science in Communication Management from Singapore Management University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Political Science and History from the National University of Singapore.
