Mr A Selverajah joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1979. His last position was Singapore Ambassador to Turkey from July 2015 to January 2019. Prior to that he served as Singapore's Ambassador to the European Union with concurrent accreditation to Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and the Vatican. He was also Ambassador to Germany with concurrent accreditation to Greece, and later Ambassador to the Philippines. After which he was appointed Dean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Academy and Special Envoy for Arctic Affairs.
