Gilbert Tan

Gilbert Tan is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in digital platforms engineering and IT solutions. Currently serving as Senior Director for Digital Platforms Engineering at Singtel since February 2019, Gilbert focuses on advancing Network as a Service (NaaS) capabilities, particularly in the context of 5G technologies. Previously, as Principal Solutions Architect at GovTech Singapore, Gilbert played a key role in the Smart Nation Sensor Platform, achieving significant milestones such as leading the smart lamppost tender. Gilbert's foundational career at Singtel spanned over 14 years, covering various roles that include Director, Associate Director, and Senior Solution Architect, where responsibilities encompassed engaging business units, managing IT project delivery, and developing innovative digital solutions. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with first class honours in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
