Lee Wee Leong

Vice President at SINGAPORE UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

Associate Professor Lee Wee Leong is the Vice President (Learning Services) of the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). He was formerly SUSS' Director of Educational Technology & Production and Online Learning.

Before joining SUSS, he was an Associate Professor (Education) with Singapore Management University (SMU)'s School of Information Systems and Director of their Master of IT in Business (Analytics) programme. At SMU, he taught spreadsheets business modelling, business process management, supply chain processes & technology and IT project & vendor management. His career history also saw him heading the R&D department of Y3 Technologies where he was responsible for managing the development and implementation of supply chain solutions. He has vast consultancy and training experience in the field of supply chain network design optimisation, process improvement, IT project management and negotiations.

Associate Professor Lee was a research fellow and scholar at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology and engaged in R&D activities in the areas of demand forecasting, vehicle routing optimisation, loading optimisation and RFID applications. He also had several years of working experience in the oil & gas and aerospace industries in his early years.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours Class I) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds, Master of Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University and PhD from the Imperial College London. He currently serves as the Chairperson of FaithActs (a non-profit community service agency caring for the needs of children, youths, families and seniors) and previously sat on the Board of Governance (as the IT subcommittee Chairperson) of Methodist Welfare Services.
