Chamal Gunawardena

Chamal Gunawardena is a seasoned brand management professional with extensive experience in marketing and product management. Currently serving as Brand Manager at Singer Sri Lanka PLC since September 2023, Chamal previously held roles at Capital Maharaja Group as Assistant Product Manager and Product Executive, focusing on branding, promotional activities, and sales enhancement through strategic research and relationship management from July 2015 to September 2023. Prior experience includes a Management Trainee position at Cargills Ceylon PLC and a Trainee Process Improvement role at First Capital Holdings PLC. Chamal's leadership experience includes serving as President of AIESEC Sri Lanka, overseeing organizational strategy and development. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Digital Marketing from Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, complemented by additional studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and AAT Sri Lanka.
