Katherine von Stackelberg has a long and varied work experience. Katherine began their career in 1993 as a Senior Scientist at Menzie-Cura & Associates, Inc. In 2006, they took on the role of Principal at NEK Associates LTD, as well as Research Scientist at the Harvard Center for Risk Analysis. In 2015, they became Co-Leader at Biogeochemistry of Global Contaminants, Harvard University, and Research Scientist at C-CHANGE: Ctr 4 Climate, Health & Environment. In 2020, they were appointed Director of Research Translation at MEMCARE HSPH_Superfund, and in 2021 they became Senior Research Consultant at Single.Earth. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed President of the Society for Risk Analysis and Senior Research Scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Katherine von Stackelberg attended Harvard University from 1984 to 1988, where they earned an AB in General Studies. Katherine then attended the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 1998 to 2006, where they earned an ScM and ScD in Environmental Science and Risk Management.
