Robert Scherpbier

Robert Scherpbier is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in maternal and child health, nutrition, and health systems strengthening. Currently, as a Senior Health Specialist at UNICEF since May 2020, Robert focuses on health programming. Previously, at the Global Financing Facility from February 2018 to May 2020, Robert provided leadership and technical guidance on implementation research related to reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health. Robert also held various significant roles at UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and other health institutions, contributing to evidence-informed policy advice and strategic health initiatives across different countries, particularly in China. Robert's educational background includes an MPH from Johns Hopkins University and an MD from Utrecht University, alongside other qualifications in international health.
