Mario Usuga Castaneda has extensive experience in the field of quantum optics, currently serving as Research Manager and Project Coordinator at Single Quantum since 2019. Prior to this role, Mario held the position of Researcher at DTU Fotonik from 2013 to 2018 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Technical University of Denmark from 2009 to 2012 after earning a PhD in experimental quantum optics. Earlier positions included Research Assistant at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light and at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics. Mario also contributed as a Lecturer on Oscillations, Waves, and Optics for engineers at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Physics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, a Diploma in Condensed Matter from ICTP, and a PhD from DTU.
