Single Resolution Board
Lia Champoeva serves as a Legal Expert at the Single Resolution Board since January 2022, following a brief tenure as a Legal Officer at the European Research Executive Agency in late 2021. Previously, Lia held the position of Senior Associate - Regulatory Lawyer at NautaDutilh from September 2017 to October 2021 and worked as a Legal Expert in EU Law at Milieu Ltd during a similar timeframe. Additionally, Lia contributed to academia as a Professor in Law at ISURU from 2016 to 2020 and practiced as a Lawyer at Wéry - Avocats from January 2012 to August 2017. Lia's early career includes roles as a Policy Analyst in European Legal Affairs at Fiscal Note and Case Handler at the European Commission. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Tax Law and Management from Solvay Brussels School, a Master of Laws in EU Law from the Institute for European Studies, and a Master in Law from Université libre de Bruxelles.

Single Resolution Board
The Single Resolution Board (SRB) is the resolution authority within the European Banking Union and is a key element of the newly created Banking Union and its Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM). It works in close cooperation in particular with the national resolution authorities of participating Member States, the European Commission and the European Central Bank. Its mission is to ensure an orderly resolution of failing banks with minimum impact on the real economy and public finances of the participating Member States and beyond. https://srb.europa.eu/
