Haydn Mearns

Haydn Mearns has extensive experience in cloud and container automation, having held senior management and architectural roles at Optus since August 2013. Notable positions include Snr Manager Cloud and Container Automation, Principal Solutions Architect, and Manager of Solution Architecture & Design, where responsibilities involved leading a devOps team to implement automation solutions predominantly using open source technologies. Previous roles include Environment Manager, overseeing middleware platform builds and releases, and Application Architect for ISP systems. Prior to Optus, Haydn served as a researcher at the University of Technology Sydney, focusing on multi-agent behavior strategies and risk management within a PhD collaboration with Alcatel-Lucent. Haydn holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Sydney.
