Mark joined Optus as Chief Information Officer in October 2021, with more than 25 years’ experience successfully applying technology to transform business performance and customer experiences.

With expertise leading transformation change within Information Technology functions, Mark also offers an ability to align business and technology strategies, develop strong relationships across complex organisations and geographies, and build purpose driven and diverse teams.

Over his 16-years with Commonwealth Bank, Mark held a range of CIO roles, including spearheading the introduction of real-time, advanced analytics, automation and cloud and "as a service" capabilities.

He has held key roles with respected consulting firms including AT Kearney, Andersen Consulting, and, most recently, Partners in Performance, a global management consulting firm, where he worked with a variety of clients to deliver transformation through the use of contemporary digital, data and technology capabilities.

With a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Sydney plus study at MIT, Mark brings a track record of disciplined delivery, credibility, trust and momentum to Optus.
