Mark Wildie

VP Of Software Engineering at Singular Genomics

Mark Wildie has extensive experience in software engineering and management roles in various companies. Mark started their career in 1999 as a Software Engineer at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies. Mark then worked at Avaya as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led development projects focused on network monitoring and management tools. In 2012, Mark joined Brain Corporation as a Director of Software Engineering, overseeing the design and production of a single board computer for mobile robotics. Mark later joined NTENT as Director of Software Engineering, where they restructured the engineering teams and transitioned the search platform to machine learning. Mark also worked at Accel Robotics as a software engineer and Engineering Manager, where they developed a platform for automated retail. From 2021 to 2022, they served as an Engineering Manager at Meta, leading the Ads Core ML Content Understanding team. Mark is currently Vice President of Software Engineering at Singular Genomics, a role they assumed in 2023.

Mark Wildie holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computational Neurodynamics from Imperial College London, which they obtained from 2009 to 2013. Mark also pursued a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Computer Science from Imperial College London from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. hons) degree in Computer Science from Macquarie University from 1995 to 1998.
