Ralph Merkle

Ralph Merkle is a prominent figure in the field of molecular nanotechnology, serving as faculty at Singularity University since March 2009 and as a board member at the Alcor Life Extension Foundation since 1998. Additionally, Ralph Merkle holds the position of Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Molecular Manufacturing since 1996. Previously, Ralph Merkle was a professor at Georgia Tech from September 2003 to December 2006, a nanotechnology theorist at Zyvex from 1999 to 2003, and a research scientist at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) from 1988 to 1999. Early experience also includes managing compiler development at Elxsi from 1980 to 1988. Ralph Merkle earned a Ph.D. in Cryptography from Stanford University and holds both a BS and MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
