Dr. Mihaela Ulieru

Dr. Mihaela Ulieru has held a variety of positions in the tech industry since 2010. Dr. Mihaela began their career as the President of the IMPACT Institute for the Digital Economy, where they worked to reform policy for the adoption of digital technologies. In 2017, they became an Advisor for Sapien, a "Facebook on Blockchain" project. In 2019, they joined The Sovereign (SOV) Global as an Advisor, and became a Mentor for GetSmarter's Oxford Blockchain Strategy Executive Education Program and SparkLabs Cyber+Blockchain. In 2020, they became Chief Alchemist for SingularityNET and an Advisor for The Consilience Project. Dr. Mihaela also joined Input Output (IOHK) as a Strategic Impact Officer and LifeLink Inc. as an Advisor.

Dr. Mihaela Ulieru has a background in Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Intelligent Systems, Internet of Things, Dynamical Systems and Controls, Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Dr. Mihaela completed their Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Berkeley Initiative in Soft Computing led by Professor Lotfi A. Zadeh at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Mihaela also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Simon Fraser University in Distributed Intelligent Systems and Internet of Things. Her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) was completed at Technische Universität Darmstadt in Dynamical Systems and Controls. Finally, they obtained their Automatic Control and Computer Science degree from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
