Karthik Ramaswami

Karthik Ramaswami has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Karthik currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Sionic Energy since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at EaglePicher Technologies as the Director of Emerging Technologies from January 2022 to March 2023. From May 2018 to December 2021, Karthik held the position of Director of Product Development at EaglePicher Medical Power. Before that, they worked at Integer (formerly Greatbatch) as the Sr. Director of RD&E for Power Solutions, leading the product development of battery packs and systems for medical devices. From March 2014 to February 2015, Karthik was the Director of Materials & Technology at enVerid Systems, where they focused on developing HVAC Load Reduction Technology. Karthik also held the position of Director of Engineering at Pellion Technologies from October 2013 to February 2014. Karthik's experience at EaglePicher Medical Power from 2009 to 2013 involved directing new product development and pilot manufacturing. Prior to that, they worked at Eaton Corporation Innovation Center as a Principal Engineer/Program Manager from August 2007 to February 2009, and at Spectrum Brands as a Senior Manager of Advanced Technology from August 2002 to August 2007. Karthik's career began at Duracell (Gillette/P&G) as a Senior Scientist, later transitioning to a Program Engineer.

Karthik Ramaswami completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering at REC Tiruchrapalli. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical/Electrochemical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they completed in the years 1984 to 1990.
