Nicole K. Paulk, PhD, began their education in 2002 when they enrolled in Central Washington University. Nicole K. pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Medical Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry, completing their studies in 2006.

Following their undergraduate education, Paulk furthered their academic journey at Oregon Health & Science University. From 2007 to 2012, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree specializing in AAV Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine.
