Design Rahim Bhimani

Rahim Bhimani has a diverse work experience in the field of design and UX research. Rahim has worked as a Senior UX Researcher at Sirion since 2023. Prior to this, Rahim worked as an Adjunct Faculty at York University, where they developed and designed the applied UX Design + Research course and partnered with over 75+ small business and non-profit clients.

Rahim also founded Arabesque Studios in 2014 as a side gig, designing and producing products inspired by Islamic geometry. These products are currently being sold exclusively at the Aga Khan Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto.

From 2021 to 2023, Rahim worked at Varicent as a Senior UX Researcher and Product Designer, specifically for the Sales Planning Team. During their tenure, they received the 2021 Varicent Innovator Award.

In 2022, Rahim served as a UX Design Instructor at Concordia University. Rahim also founded Shield Hero in 2020, where they designed and donated over 5,500+ face shields to front-line workers. This initiative gained significant media attention and recognition.

Rahim worked as the Director of New Venture - User Research + Design at Highline BETA from 2019 to 2020. Rahim also had a contract role as a Design Strategist at Shikatani Lacroix Design from 2018 to 2019.

In 2017, Rahim worked on AI Strategy & Design at Element AI. Rahim also held the position of Senior Design Strategist/Researcher at Code and Theory from 2015 to 2017, where they were responsible for bringing creative ideas to life and guiding design concepts from inception to implementation.

Rahim Bhimani obtained a Bachelor of Industrial Design with a minor in Business from Carleton University. Rahim then pursued further education at the California College of the Arts, where they completed an MBA in Design Strategy with a focus on User-Centered Research, Design & Innovation Strategy. Additionally, Bhimani completed coursework in User Experience Design at General Assembly.
