Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with their most recent position being the Chief Portfolio Actuary - Global Accident & Health at SiriusPoint starting in November 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Risk Officer at SiriusPoint International from June 2021 to November 2023. From January 2012 to November 2023, they held the position of Chief Risk Officer and Chief Actuary at SIRIUS INTERNATIONAL MANAGING AGENCY LIMITED. Before that, Andrew worked as the Chief Corporate Actuary at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group from September 2010 to November 2011. Andrew also has experience as a Capital Modelling Actuary and Accident & Health Actuary at Brit Insurance from January 2009 to September 2010 and October 2006 to December 2008, respectively. Prior to that, they were a Risk and Pricing Manager at Cardif Pinnacle from October 2005 to October 2006 and a Consulting Actuary at Mercer from September 1999 to October 2005.

From 1996 to 1999, Andrew Smith attended the University of Warwick, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, and Economics.
