Alexander Stanev

Alexander Stanev is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the financial industry, currently serving as Group CTO for the Financial Industry at Sirma Group since March 2023. Previously, Stanev held the position of Chief Operations Officer at Evrotrust Technologies JSCo., where leadership in product development and strategic partnerships led to the successful launch of a digital identity service in collaboration with Mastercard. Other notable roles include Head of Main Directorate at DSK Bank, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at BORICA-BANKSERVICE, and Executive Director at Bankservice. Stanev has contributed to various key projects and committees, including participation in the European Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Electronic Invoicing and the SEPA project in Bulgaria. Stanev holds an MBA from New Bulgarian University and a Master's degree in High Energy and Nuclear Physics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
