Austin Christensen has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Austin began their career as an Engineering Intern at ATK Launch System in 2005, followed by a Plant Engineering Internship at ExxonMobil in 2006. In 2007, they worked as a Photolithography Engineer at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. From 2009 to 2012, Austin served as a Mechanical Engineer at Barton Medical Corporation, where they spearheaded product support and development for safe patient handling systems. Since 2012, they have been working at Sisu, initially as a Mechanical Design Engineer and currently as the Director of Hardware Engineering. In their role at Sisu, Austin has been instrumental in mentoring junior team members, promoting rapid prototyping initiatives, and developing CAD design and engineering documentation best practices. Austin'scontributions have allowed Sisu to scale reliably and meet the changing demands of the market and customers.
Austin Christensen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines between 2002 and 2006. In September 2018, they obtained certification as a Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
