Meghanne Edwards has a diverse work experience in the field of animal care and education. Meghanne started their career as a Camp Instructor at UNCW MarineQuest in 2018. In 2019, they volunteered at UNC Wilmington and also worked as a Volunteer and Education Intern at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Meghanne continued their volunteer work at UNCW MarineQuest in various roles until 2020. In 2020, Meghanne worked as an Aquarist/Keeper 2 at Discovery Place, where they were responsible for nutrition, medical care, and team management of various animal species. Meghanne also volunteered and interned at the KAREN BEASLEY SEA TURTLE RESCUE AND REHABILITATION CENTER during the same year. In 2021, Meghanne joined Sit Means Sit Dog Training as a Senior Trainer and later became the Manager/Head Trainer. In these roles, they managed daily operations, trained staff, implemented performance reviews, and rebuilt the company's social media presence.

Meghanne Edwards completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and Environmental Sciences from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Meghanne attended the university from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including Open Water Diver from PADI in October 2018, Protected Species Observer from Marine Protected Species Consulting - MPSC in October 2017, and CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross in July 2020.
