Akshat Tewari is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Director of Curriculum and Assessments at Khaitan Education Centre since January 2024. With a significant tenure at Sitare Foundation since November 2019, Akshat has contributed as both an Advisor and the Director of Academics, co-developing the foundation's academic model with Shilpa Singhal and Amit Singhal while establishing a dedicated academic team. Prior experience includes serving as the Program Leader for Curriculum Design and Training at Step by Step School in Noida, where Akshat implemented Understanding by Design (UbD) principles to enhance student learning outcomes. A former Fellow and Advisor for Science Curriculum at Teach For India, Akshat trained over 150 teaching fellows while also having a background in software development as a Product Developer at Computer Sciences Corporation. Akshat holds a B-Tech degree in Electronics and Communication from Dehradun Institute of Technology, completed in 2010.
