Willem de Villiers

Willem de Villiers is an experienced Integrity Engineer at Sitech Services BV since July 2023 and has been with Eskom since February 2013, serving as an O&M Engineer specializing in valves and sootblowers. Responsibilities include specifying plant components, developing maintenance strategies, providing technical support, conducting quality assurance, performing technical risk assessments, and implementing plant modifications. Willem has also led boiler element and welding activities at Lethabo Power Station, significantly reducing the weld repair rate. Educational qualifications include an IWE Diploma from the International Institute of Welding, a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Welding Engineering from the University of Pretoria, and two Bachelor of Engineering degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Project Management from North-West University.
