Chuck Johnston

Chuck Johnston has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2004, they served as the Chief Guide at Maine High Adventure, where they trained and managed guides for wilderness trips. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as a Senior District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, overseeing recruitment, training, fundraising, and camp management. In 2009, Chuck became the VP of Sales/Marketing at Accountacus LLC, where they managed sales and marketing for TADAccounting and LinkedCPA. Chuck utilized social media and content strategies to drive user engagement and expand the reach of LinkedCPA. In 2010, they took on the role of Marketing Manager at SeeYourImpact.org, focusing on user engagement through social media and content strategies. Chuck also contributed to UI/UX design with the frontend development team. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Product Manager at CloudSway LLC, responsible for gathering and prioritizing user feedback, creating requirements, and designing the user experience. In 2013, Chuck joined SiteCrafting Inc as a User Experience Designer, and in 2014, they were promoted to User Experience Manager, leading user research, UX design, and usability testing for websites and web applications. In 2015, they became the Director at GearLab, and in 2017, they joined the University of Washington Tacoma as a Lecturer.

Chuck Johnston received their education from various institutions. Chuck attended Emmaus High School from 1999 to 2001, where they did not obtain any specific degree or field of study. Chuck then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy and History from Susquehanna University, graduating in 2005. Their educational journey continued as they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington, which they completed from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, Chuck has an additional certification in User Centered Design from the University of Washington - HCDE, although the specific date of its completion is unknown.
