Alicia MacAnás

Alicia Macanás is a musician who has been actively involved with the band Minimal Schlager since 2020, performing and touring across Europe. Before their music career, they worked at SiteMinder from 2012 to 2021, holding various roles including Director of Ecosystem and Strategic Partnerships, Senior Partner Manager, Business Development Manager, and Regional Sales Manager. As part of their responsibilities, they focused on signing up partners, driving hotel growth, creating brand awareness, and managing sales teams. Prior to that, Alicia served as the Main Chair of the International Committee for Education at Erasmus Student Network from 2011 to 2013, where they led a team of 60 members from 36 countries and worked on educational policy and representation. Additionally, they worked as a freelance translator, interpreter, and proofreader, proficient in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Catalan. Alicia also held the position of President at ESN UAB Barcelona from 2010 to 2012, advocating for the needs and rights of international students and organizing social activities.

Alicia Macanás has an education history that includes studying French Studies at Université Laval from 2011 to 2012, Humanities/Humanistic Studies with a BA in French Studies at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2007 to 2012, Liberal Arts and Sciences with a BA in Translation and Interpreting at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2006 to 2011, and participating in the LLP Erasmus program at Université de Poitiers from 2007 to 2008.
