Emmet Delaney

Emmet Delaney has worked in the software engineering industry since 2014. In that time, they have held a variety of roles. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Customer Care Executive at Three. During this time, they took up to 70 calls per day and gained experience in customer care and customer relations. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at TrackPlanFm, where they created a flagship mobile app from scratch using React and Firebase. Emmet also developed and maintained the Trackplan Fm online web application, created new features, and removed existing bugs. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer - Frontend at Extreme Networks, where they worked as part of the Cloud Technology Adoption, R&D team. Emmet created high quality demo applications to showcase Machine learning experiments created by the Data Science team using React, and also created Machine learning pipelines in azure to help deliver ML models to production APIs. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend at Genesys. Emmet has recently been promoted to Lead Software Engineer at Sitenna, where they will begin work in 2022.

Emmet Delaney's education history includes a Level 8 Higher Diploma in Web Development from Griffith College Limerick (2015-2016), a Level 8 Certificate in Quality Engineering from the University of Limerick (2014), a Higher Certificate in Building Construction Technology from the Limerick Institute of Technology (2008-2011), and a Leaving Certificate from C.B.S Sexton Street (2003-2008). Additionally, they have obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in January 2020.
