Gerardo Canales

Gerardo Canales has extensive work experience in various financial and leadership roles. Gerardo is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Sitka Salmon Shares. Previously, Gerardo worked at The Miner Corporation as the Vice President Finance and later as the Vice President of Planning and Integration. In these roles, they provided support for organizational restructuring, integration of acquisitions, operational planning, and financial forecasting. Gerardo also served as the Business Unit Controller at the company. Before that, Gerardo worked as a Management Consultant at Aventine Hill Partners, where they provided accounting and finance consulting services to clients. Gerardo also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at New Futuro, where they managed various functions and implemented an accounting system. Gerardo served as the Sr. Managing Partner at The Business Right Hand, where they led crisis management teams and implemented process improvements for multiple companies. Gerardo also worked as the South Region Accounting Manager at Hexion Specialty Chemicals, where they implemented a shared services platform for finance and accounting. Additionally, Gerardo held various roles at Lancer Corporation, including Director of Internal Audit, Latin America Managing Director, FPA Manager, and Controller, where they achieved significant profitability and implemented financial reporting improvements.

Gerardo Canales began their education at The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Economics. Gerardo successfully completed their studies in 1996. Following this, they enrolled at the IPADE Business School in 2003 to further their education with an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree in the field of Executive Management. Gerardo completed their studies at IPADE Business School in 2005.
