Anssi Komulainen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Anssi is currently working as a Project Director at Sitra, where they are involved in building business models, ground rules, and infrastructure for a data ecosystem based on European values. Prior to this, Anssi was a Partner at Riviera Cinemas, overseeing independent cinemas in Helsinki.

Anssi has also worked at Yle, a Finnish media company, where they held multiple roles including Head of Foresight, Chief Innovation Officer, Founder of Yle Beta (an incubator for future media experiences), Chief Partnership Officer, Executive Producer of Events and Popular Music, Development Executive in Factual content, and Series Producer in the Education division.

Outside of Yle, Anssi served as the Chair of the Strategic Programme on Platforms at the European Broadcasting Union, focusing on the development of applications to enhance user experience across radio, TV, and other media services. Anssi also worked as a Programme Officer at UNESCO, managing communication and information programs in Vietnam.

Anssi's career began as a Journalist and News Correspondent at Yle, where they covered domestic news and culture. Anssi also interned at The Finnish Institute in London, promoting culture and science.

Throughout their career, Anssi has demonstrated expertise in media, innovation, partnerships, and strategic planning, with a focus on digital and data-driven initiatives.

Anssi Komulainen attended the University of Helsinki from 1997 to 2007, where they pursued a degree in Communication Studies. Anssi successfully completed their studies and obtained a MAPolSC degree.
