Mario DeSousa

Mario DeSousa has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Mario began their career in 1995 as the Director of Software at ENIAC, where they were responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of CRM Solutions based on Vantive Enterprise. Mario then moved to MetraTech Corp in 1999, where they served as Lead SaaS Architect and Implementation Director. In 2013, they became Chief Technology Officer at Code Red Software (Code Red, Inc), where they were the technology leader for Code Red software products. In 2015, they joined FactSet as VP Engineering, where they established a new development team in Hyderabad, India and grew it from 0 to 25 engineers in less than 2 years. In 2020, they co-founded Partnr, where they served as Co-Founder & CTO, and founded tepui.io, where they served as Founder and CEO. Mario currently serves as Chief Technology Officer and Director of Engineering at Sivo (YC W21).

Mario DeSousa has a diverse educational background. Mario obtained a BS in Computer Science from Universidad Simón Bolívar in 1995, followed by an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business between 1997 and 1999. In addition, they have obtained four certifications: Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in 2020, Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) from Scrum.org in 2020, Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application from MIT Sloan School of Management in 2019, and Certified Blockchain Developer from Blockchain Council in 2019.
