Brendan McHugh

Brendan McHugh, CFA, currently serves as Managing Director and Head of Insurance Capital Formation and Strategy at Sixth Street since August 2023. Previously, Brendan held the position of Managing Director, Head of Business Development for the Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock from November 2013 to July 2023, where a team was led in business development efforts with U.S. clients. Additional experience includes roles as Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development at Oakum Bay Capital, Vice President of Alternative Investments Product Strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and a Summer Associate in Global Markets at Merrill Lynch. Brendan began a career as a Management Consultant at Deloitte Consulting. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
