Matt Parsons

Matt Parsons, PE, PMP, is a Principal at Sixth Street since March 2021, previously holding principal and vice president positions at Blackstone from September 2018 to March 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Subsurface Lead and Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer at Hunt Oil Company, managing reservoir engineering teams and substantial capital projects. Matt Parsons has a strong background in reservoir engineering, having worked with major projects across the Permian Basin and the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Educational qualifications include an M.B.A. from Texas McCombs School of Business, a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Matt Parsons also has internship experience with notable organizations, including Continental and Anheuser-Busch.
