Peter Schancupp

Peter Schancupp is a seasoned finance and legal professional with extensive experience in structured finance and mortgage transactions. Currently serving as Managing Director at Sixth Street since July 2022, Schancupp previously held the same title at Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company, LLC from January 2018 to January 2023. His expertise includes roles as Managing Director and Co-General Counsel at FirstKey, Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Cerberus Capital Management, and a General Counsel position at RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corporation, where significant achievements included the acquisition of over $1 billion in mortgage assets. Schancupp also served as Vice President at Credit Suisse, managing high-volume mortgage trading transactions. A graduate of Cardozo School of Law with a JD and holder of a BS from Syracuse University, Schancupp began his career as an Associate at Cozen O'Connor, focusing on commercial and real estate litigation.
