Brendan McHugh

Brendan McHugh, CFA, currently serves as Managing Director and Head of Insurance Capital Formation and Strategy at Sixth Street since August 2023. Prior to this role, Brendan held the position of Managing Director and Head of Business Development for the Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock from November 2013 to July 2023. Brendan's previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development at Oakum Bay Capital and Vice President of Alternative Investments Product Strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Brendan also worked as a Summer Associate in Global Markets at Merrill Lynch and as a Management Consultant in Strategy & Operations at Deloitte Consulting. Brendan obtained an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
