Sheryll Ebbs has a diverse work experience in the field of child development and education. Sheryll began their career as a Curriculum Coordinator, Department Chair, and Mentor Teacher at Almaden Country School from 1991 to 2001. Sheryll then worked as an Education and Prevention Manager at Rebekah Children Services from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they served as an Early Childhood Administrator at Gilroy Unified School District from 2005 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, Sheryll worked as an Early Childhood Administrator and Consultant at WestEd/FIRST 5 Santa Clara County. Sheryll then joined SJB Child Development Centers as an Early Childhood Program Director from 2014 to 2016. Sheryll continued their journey at SJB Child Development Centers, where they held various positions including Executive Director from 2016 to 2019, President from 2019 to 2021, and currently serves as the SJB Child Development Board Director and Quality Chair from July 2021.
Sheryll Ebbs has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Health Science with an emphasis in Education from San Jose State University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1991. Sheryll then pursued a Single Subject Credential in Education/Health & Physical Education from Notre Dame de Namur University, which they completed from 1994 to 1995. Furthering their education, they obtained a Master of Public Administration in Education from Notre Dame de Namur University from 1999 to 2001. In 2015, they also obtained a certification in Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain.
