Georgia Sarquella Brugada

Georgia Sarquella Brugada is a prominent figure in pediatric cardiology, currently serving as the Head of the Arrhythmia, Inherited Cardiac Diseases, and Sudden Death unit at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu - Universitat de Barcelona since February 2011. In addition to this role, Georgia holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona and Universitat de Girona, specializing in pediatric medicine. Georgia is also the Pediatric Electrophysiology Subnetwork Coordinator for ERN GUARD-Heart and a Pediatric Cardiologist for FC Barcelona. As a co-founder of the Brugada Foundation, Georgia is committed to cardiovascular research. Georgia's extensive training includes a Ph.D. in Pediatric Sudden Death from the Universitat de Barcelona and various master's degrees related to clinical genetics and electrophysiology, complemented by fellowships in interventional pediatric cardiology.
