Pontus Svensson

Pontus Svensson is an experienced maritime professional with a career spanning over two decades in various leadership roles. Currently serving as a SAR Mission Coordinator and Marine Pilot at Sjöfartsverket since March 2018, Pontus has previously held significant positions including Chief Officer and DPO at Floatel International AB, Safety Officer at Sea Launch, and Chief Officer at Østensjø Rederi A/S. Other roles include 1st Officer at The OSM Group and Chief Officer at Laurin Maritime. Pontus began the maritime career as a Deck Officer at Broström Tankers AB. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Nautical Science and a Master Mariner degree from Chalmers University of Technology, completed in 2002.
