With more than 33 years of experience in the investment industry, Scott is the visionary leading SJS Investment Services. Scott serves on the SJS Investment Committee, providing guidance on portfolio design and investment strategy.
Scott was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and is the fourth of nine children. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Ohio State University.
Scott is active in local civic endeavors including: President of the Board of Park Commissioners, Metroparks Toledo; Board Member, International Samaritan; Foundation Board Member, St. John’s Jesuit High School; Emeritus Board Member, St. Ursula Academy; and Board Member, KRONK Boxing Gym / ESCOT Youth Development. The best part of SJS is that it impacts so many people’s live—clients, employees, and partners. Scott has raised four amazing children, and now has two grandchildren.
Somehow Scott also finds the time to be an avid reader and do the things he loves including skiing and hiking. Scott competed in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, in 2005. To understand his level of determination, it helps to realize that when he set this goal for himself years earlier, he didn’t even know how to swim.
Scott became hooked on finance when his father showed him that on the back side of the sports page was the stock page. That was when Scott was 12 years old, and the rest is history.
