Robert Polans, CAPT

Robert Polans, CAPT, has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on market access, trade, and managed care. Robert currently serves as the Vice President of Market Access & Trade at SK Life Science, Inc., a position they have held since 2017. Prior to this, they worked at Cempra Pharmaceuticals as the Vice President of Managed Care & Trade from 2015 to 2017.

From 2006 to 2014, Polans held various roles at Valeant Pharmaceuticals, including Vice President of Aesthetics and Allergan Integration Planning, Vice President of Sales and MCO, Vice President of Strategic Markets, Sr. Director of Strategic Markets, and Director of National Accounts NE. During their tenure at Valeant, they led the successful launch of new brands, collaborated with key opinion leaders on improving programs, managed the Managed Care division, and oversaw sales-related processes. Robert was also quoted in the Wall Street Journal for their expertise in integrating Allergan and Valeant.

Prior to their time at Valeant, Polans worked at Johnson & Johnson from 1998 to 2006. Robert held various roles, including Strategic Markets Director, Strategic Markets Manager, District Sales Manager, and Sales Representative. Robert was recognized with the Leadership Award at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc. for their contributions to the development of the LMS selling program platform and achieved significant sales growth for Regranex through targeted strategies and clinical selling methodologies.

Robert Polans, CAPT, pursued their education at the University of Florida from 1984 to 1989. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business. Additionally, they earned a second Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Finance, General from the University of Florida, which they completed between 1984 and 1988.
