Byeong-Won Lee

Byeong-Won Lee is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and image processing. Currently serving as Team Leader of the Vision AI Algorithm Team at SK Telecom, Byeong-Won has led the research and development of commercial Vision AI services and data-centric AIOps since February 2018. Previous roles include Senior AI Research Engineer at SK Telecom, where focus was on developing deep learning-based object detection systems for large-scale video surveillance services, and Senior Research Engineer at Hyundai Motor Group, specializing in robot vision technologies. Prior to these positions, Byeong-Won spent over six years at Samsung Electronics, contributing to FDA-approved medical imaging applications and winning the Employee of the Year award in November 2013. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sogang University.
