Hongseok Shin

Hongseok Shin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. As a Senior Manager at SK Telecom since October 2011, Hongseok leads the development of Wi-Fi and Wireline Access Solutions, focusing on Carrier Wi-Fi and monetization strategies. Prior to this role, Hongseok served as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Electronics from 2002 to 2011, specializing in optical transmission systems, including FTTH, WDM-PON, and Free Space Optics. Hongseok's career began at Tyco Telecommunications as an SMTS, working on optical amplifiers and ASE sources. Hongseok holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Korea University, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Pusan National University.
