Chris Sangkyu Kang

Chris Sangkyu Kang is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as Vice President at SK since December 2021, Chris focuses on direct investments in artificial intelligence and blockchain, alongside managing the Republic Asia Fund, which specializes in Web3.0 investments. Previously, as Senior Managing Director at SK Inc. from January 2018 to November 2021, Chris led investments in digital technologies and alternative food, primarily in the US. Early career roles included Managing Director at SK USA and Senior Director at SK Telecom, where Chris contributed to the growth of Korea's leading wireless provider. Chris also held positions at SK Telecom China and UNISK China, enhancing expertise in the ICT sector. Chris holds a Master of Science in Advanced Finance and an MBA in Strategy from IE Business School, along with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from Yonsei University.
