Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer at SKAN

Nikolaos Kallikounis is a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer at SKAN since November 2023. Previously, Nikolaos served as a Doctoral Researcher at ETH Zürich from January 2020 to October 2023, focusing on multiscale kinetic modeling of high-speed compressible flows utilizing the Lattice Boltzmann Method. Prior experience includes positions as a Process Engineer at LEVITRONIX, where both development and testing of pumps were conducted, and an internship in the R&D department. Nikolaos has also worked as a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich and as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences. Early in the career, Nikolaos gained experience as a Chemical Engineer at Callicounis Distilleris, performing chemical analysis and research in distillation processes, and as a Chemical Engineering Intern at the Institute of Microelectronics, focusing on modeling cooling systems with CFD software. Nikolaos holds a PhD in Mechanical and Process Engineering and a Master's degree in Process Engineering from ETH Zürich, as well as a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
