As Vice President of Operations, Chris is responsible for the management of operational business processes to ensure quality control and excellence in project delivery. He leads the teams involved with the project’s life cycle from Design Engineers and Project Managers to Programmers and Installation Technicians, along with several other vital operations departments. Chris graduated from The University of Kansas with a degree in Economics in 2008, and he joined SKC later that year. He began his career at SKC as an Install Technician, and through hard work and dedication, he worked his way up through the various operations teams en route to his current position. This gives him vast knowledge and understanding of the entire AV project life cycle.
Much of Chris’ free time is spent with his wife and three young daughters. He enjoys building custom furniture and vacationing in the mountains, near the ocean, or at his family’s cabin in the Black Hills of South Dakota. On the weekends, you can find him relaxing by cheering on his Kansas Jayhawks, exploring the Kansas City area with his family, or simply enjoying the outdoors.

Paul Ammeen founded SKC in 1986 as a headset distributor. Paul always said “treat your customers, vendors, and employees like gold”, and that is still core to what we do. His wife, Sondra, joined the business in 1988 and soon after each of their five children came onboard. Paul and Sondra sold the business to their children in 2002, and two of the five siblings are still active in the day-to-day operations. Headquartered in Kansas City, today SKC employs 310 employees in 21 states nationwide with regional offices in the following locations:
