Russell Adcock has a diverse and comprehensive work experience. Russell started their career in 2003 as a Junior Software Analyst/Programmer at the Department of Defence, where they implemented software enhancements and conducted data maintenance tasks. Russell then worked as a Software Engineer at Mincom from 2006 to 2009.

In 2010, Adcock joined Centrelink as a Software Analyst/Programmer, responsible for implementing business requirements and acting as a point of contact for internal departments. Russell later joined Flight Centre Technology in 2010 as a Senior Software Developer, implementing critical upgrades to corporate booking systems, and eventually became a Technical Team Leader, overseeing a cross-functional team.

Adcock's next role was at Skedulo, where they held various positions. As an Engineering Manager, they developed the engineering hiring process and documented the adoption of agile development methodologies. Russell then became a Director of Engineering, scaling the team and implementing process improvements. As a Senior Director of Engineering, they played a key role in the development of a COVID-19 vaccine booking application. Currently, Adcock serves as the VP of Engineering at Skedulo, defining the global engineering strategy and improving the effectiveness of the engineering team.

Throughout their career, Adcock has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on improving processes and team effectiveness.

Russell Adcock obtained their Bachelor of Information Technology degree in Software Development from Griffith University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Russell also acquired several certifications, including being a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in 2016 and being a Spring Certified Professional from SpringSource in 2012. In addition, they received the JEE 5 Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD) certification from Sun Microsystems in 2010 and the Java 1.5 Certified Programmer (SCJP) certification from the same institution in 2009.
