Kai Vuorilehto

Kai Vuorilehto has a diverse work experience in various scientific and research roles. Kai is currently serving as the Scientific Director at Skeleton Technologies since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Aalto University School of Chemical Technology from 2006 to May 2023. Kai also served as the R&D Director at EAS Batteries GmbH from March 2016 to April 2023. In addition, they have held positions at Skeleton Technologies as the VP of Production from September 2013 to February 2016, at European Batteries as the Chief Technology Officer from 2007 to 2010, at the University of Helsinki and Forschungszentrum Jülich as a Post Doc from 2002 to 2006, and at Vaisala Oyj as a Scientist from 1997 to 2002.

Kai Vuorilehto attended the College of Veterinary Medicine in Helsinki from 1985 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Veterinary Medicine. Kai then went on to study at the Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from 1985 to 1990, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrochemistry. Kai continued their studies at the same institution from 1990 to 1993, obtaining a Licenciate of Science degree in Electrochemistry. Finally, from 1993 to 1997, they pursued a Doctor of Science degree in Electrochemistry at the Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
